My Younger Daughter, in kindergarten: The Easter Bunny isn't real (!?!?!???!!!)
Neighbor Girl: My mom told me.
{Aside from the editor: And obviously forgot to mention the important caveat about keeping mouth shut around younger children regarding such topics.}
My Older Daughter, in 2nd grade (and coming to the rescue): It's not polite to talk like that about other peoples' beliefs.
Neighbor Girl: Oh, sorry. I was just sort of in a bad mood.
That is amusing on so many levels....
ReplyDeleteI'm dying over here. That's hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHa ha!
ReplyDeleteWHAT!?! The Easter bunny isn't real??? Next you'll be telling me four-leaf clovers don't bring good luck. It's a slippery slope. (If only there were more polite people in the world! :
ReplyDeleteA treasured interplay of thoughts and emotions here!
ReplyDeleteWe'd all better watch our bad moods! Just think of what we might be trampling on.
