monday morning wisdom

STOP, DROP AND ROLL- fire safety.

BE SMART, DON'T START- drugs.

BACK TO BACK , BOTTOM TO BOTTOM- how we were supposed to sit in the school bus seats where there were no seatbelts.

And finally, from the National Weather Service because of all the rain we're currently receiving:
MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DON'T DROWN.

  1. Tidbits of wisdom.

You should come up with your own for your household, you know, ways to keep from irritating Mom and incurring her wrath. Something like:

"Eat your food, you'll like her mood" or "Make your bed and you'll not be dead" :)

  2. Back to Back, Bottom to Bottom - I have never heard this one before, but it probably would work well in church while trying to get the kids to sit reverently.

  3. I think I can turn around but I'm not sure exactly how to not drown. Can they be more specific?

That is really good advice, though. I'll try really hard not to drown this entire week.
