no surprises here

I thought about calling Ben, who was working late last night, to pull some last minute April Fool's joke on him. But I couldn't think of anything that would really be funny. I had things I could have "fooled" with, but in the end it would have just been more annoying than hilarious. So I didn't. And there-in lies the wisdom of the day: if you know you can't hit the note, it may be best not to try. While this philosophy can be applied, and mis-applied, to a great many things, today's focus is humor ~ it's best not to over-reach.
